You will reach Roma Termini railways station with a driver and meet your tour leader for check-in. He/she will be with you to make sure you make it to Venice safely. You will reach Venice in a bit more than 3 hours. From Venezia Santa Lucia railway station, you will reach a vaporetto stop (dock) located a stone’s throw away. Enjoy the ride on the Venetian typical public transport waterbus, a fantastic way to start taking a glimpse at amazing views, architecture, historical buildings and churches façades, docks, gondolas, common residents running their errands and tourists doing their thing… St. Mark’s Square is the heart of the historical center. After getting off the vaporetto and a two-minute walk, simply take a left turn and take in the magnificence of the Western façade of St. Mark’s Basilica. A skip the line entrance ticket is included in the rate.From St. Mark, don’t be afraid to get lost in the maze of alleys (or calli) to see the bridges Venice is famous for. Spend some time shopping, sipping an espresso in one of the quaint historical coffee shops, or even sitting at the outside table of a modern bar. Maybe make a stop (highly recommended) on the Bridge of Sighs (or Ponte dei Sospiri), one of the most beautiful Insta spots for amazing shots. What about a cicchetto, as Venetians call it? It is a mix of small savory snacks and side dishes typically served in a bar or informal restaurant and washed down with a drink, wine or a spritz of veneziano… At the end of the afternoon, head back to the station and board the train to Rome. You will arrive at 10:10 PM approximately, and enjoy a transfer back to your hotel.
