Visiting Pompeii is a unique and humbling experience. Accompanied by an archaeological guide, stroll through the 2000 year old cobbled streets, and imagine what this fascinating city would have once looked as you visit the ruins of shops, temples, theatres and luxurious villas of the wealthy noblemen and rich merchants who made their fortunes in in this once prosperous city and left an important testimony about the civilization, architecture and art of the time.The ancient Roman town and its inhabitants were buried by a blanket of ash and pumice from the devastating eruption of the Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. But with thanks to successful archaeological works, today you can admire some of the city´s most important buildings such as the Stabian Baths, the Forum, the theatre areas, the House of the Faun, the House of the Tragic Poet and the brothel.
