The Grand Ducal Staircase consists of 4 ramps and a total of 126 steps. Visitors who are unable to climb the stairs and need to use the lift should go to the Grand Ducal Staircase, where they will be accompanied by staff to the lifts located at the Lanzi Staircase in the West Wing. This includes disabled visitors in an organised group accompanied by 1 other person, disabled visitors in a family unit of up to 5 people, people with reduced mobility, disabled visitors who require walking aids, pregnant women, families with children in pushchairs up to a maximum of 5 people. The customers having guided tours must meet the guide first and then follow the directions to access the museum.Please note that, from 1 March 2026, the meeting point will be Via de' Lamberti 1, Florence.
